Golden Globes Fashion 2011.

I love January and February of each year, as it's when all the stars come out for the awards shows and show us some of the most beautiful dresses...or the most disastorous.
It's a win/win situation..I get to see my favorite celebrities
from some of my favorite movies of the year AND see some amazing fashion displayed.
I must admit my heart jumps a little within my chest during this time of the year :)

The Golden Globes were last Sunday evening and these are my top favorite picks of the night...fashion wise: (Don't even get me started on the winners...Christopher Nolan deserved way more props...but alas, that's a whole different conversation :)

Merging worlds.

I decided to start this blog to mess around with random ideas going through my head involving fashion.

The reason I named it "Dóchas" is because that is the Gaelic word for Hope. (And, heck I love the Irish!)
The reason I named is hope is because of what I want to do with fashion.

See I have this dream of taking the fashion industry and using it to make a HUGE difference in the area of social justice.
Specifically the human trafficking issue, but not limited to that.

As of now this is simply a way to get out the ramblings of my heart and mind involving this and see what I can make of it.
I am not "expert" on fashion nor do I seek to be.
I simply love the craft and have seen it inspire so much in my own life.
And, I think it is a world of amazing creativity that has a huge influence on the world we live in.
I want to take it and see it used to now transform peoples and culture.
I honestly have no idea how this is going to end up...
but, I am confident that something amazing will come out of it.
Fashion is just too amazing for it not to. :)
