You.//

(Via: Pinterest)

Comparison.
The driving force of so much of what we do...
that is,
if we are really honest with ourselves.

How much of our thoughts are
caught up in other's lives,
their accomplishments,
their path in life,
their journey of success.

Let's be honest,
we all do it.

Why else would so many humans
take the same similar path
time after time?

Why else has there become a
"right"
way to do things?

Let's be honest,
one little word;
comparison.

But,
what if we decided instead
that life is fun, and full, and adventurous;
and, just like we are all uniquely different,
maybe we should allow our life journeys to also be uniquely different.

What if we miss out on our own personal journey,
because we are too caught up in replicating another's?
And,
we don't realize until it's too late
and our lives have been lived already.

Surrender your need to compare,
to put out a carbon copy of what's already been done...
what's already been seen.
Why not live a little,
show the world,
YOU;
your own path.
Full of nothing more and nothing less
than all that is inside of you
that uniquely and creatively make up,
YOU.

FEED USA: Target

This has got to be one of the most exciting collaborations of my life.
I am not exaggerating either,
as you would be able to tell had you seen me literally jump and yelp simultaneously as
browsing through this collection.

The merging of fashion with a cause is something I have long been passionate about,
and leave it to Lauren Bush Lauren to collaborate with Target
and bring the "cause" concept to a whole new level.
This is amazing,
and truly groundbreaking.
I can't wait to see more and more of this from the fashion world on even greater levels over the next few years.

The collection out June 30th in Target stores everywhere features
a wide variety of items all with the cause of feeding America's poor.
Make sure to hit up your nearest Target and purchase at least one item,
helping to alleviate the need for food amongst the poorest among us.

Toss Pillow
Set of 4 Melamine Appetizer Plates
Water Bottles
Look 21
Blank Notecards 12 Count
Folding Bike
Stackable Bracelets
Wrap Bracelet, Necklace with Charm

Way to go, Lauren Bush Lauren.
You are my hero on so many different levels.

Dreams. Fears. And, all that is Life.

Have you ever stopped?
I mean truly stopped and just observed what is around you?
Not in a passing moment kind of way,
but in the literal sense of stopping,
taking in whats around you and really delving into it.

Have you ever stopped at a concert,
and observed the movement of the crowd as they jump in unison,
adding to the ascending noise their own tune?

Have you ever been out and observed a couple with their
newborn baby?
The joy, the simplicity, and the love
all combined into my setting...
as if their lives have all come together
and formed a perfect harmony.

This is life.
These are the moments that make up everything.
The ongoing circle of life.
The unique beat of each life,
the starting of new life,
and the beginning of new seasons of life.

My dreams.
My fears.
The back and forth of each.

I was once told that your greatest destiny lies on the other side of fear.
And, I think its true.
I think it's been proven time and time again.
In fact, sometimes the perpetual fear and 'not knowing' is what keeps pushing me forward,
knowing that when I cross the other side I'll be happy I pushed back the awkward feelings.
I always end up in a better place then I ever was before in life,
when I push into these fear laden lands of the 'unknown'.

I think the greatest thing to do is face your fears,
communicate to yourself the ridiculousness of what you're afraid of...
write it out.
Then, turn it around and realize that truth lies in the ability to know
what is within you,
and create your own future with your thoughts and therefore actions.

We all face fear,
and the bigger our dreams the bigger the fear.
But, at the end of the day unless we choose the uncomfortable process
of feeling that fear and embracing what lies ahead,
we will never see our dreams come to fruition.
They will simply lay there,
outside the confines of our comfortable boundaries we've drawn up.

I think,
and of course this is opinion;
but, if you aren't afraid of something in your life,
maybe you aren't really living your full potential?
Just a thought.

Simple.//

I fully find myself in a
'simple' aesthetic style phase.
Anything black, white, neutral and basic I am instantly drawn too.

HAPPINESS.//

And, sometimes
life seems to come together and burst through
with joy, laughter, and life.
I am so thankful for these beautiful seasons of life
I find myself in,
and about to fully embrace.

There truly is nothing in the world quite like having your
dreams and passions come together to create a beautiful masterpiece.
TO LIFE....
And, HAPPINESS....
