About a week ago my sister was expressing to me the desire to change her hair up a bit;
do something, anything.
I had just read the article in Vogue's January issue,
where the model Karlie Kloss gets her hair 'chopped' off,
and therefore suggested my sister do the same ;)
I have always loved the confidence and chic effect that comes with a shorter haircut,
and the article further proved my point.
Among questioning if a guy would ever find her attractive again (in a joking way....... well, kinda),
she decided to take the plunge.
Before:
(10 whole inches about to be chopped off....)
After:
(above: talking to my mother, who was a bit worried....)
Doesn't she just look absolutely stunning?
Taking a risk pays off---
especially in beauty ventures.
Sometimes, I think its so easy to stick with what society "expects" us to be & look like.
(aheeem, the boys who told my sister only long hair is attractive)
Why not be bold?
Try something different.
The New York Times wrote an excellent article today on Karlie Kloss' recent "chop",
and its being called the 'cut of the year' by Vogue.
I for one love it,
and think it exudes confidence and femininity.
[Big shout out to Olympia from the AVEDA salon on Placer St. in Redding, CA.
Definitely pay her a visit Redding folks; you won't be disappointed.]
Peace. Love. Joy.
I would love to see how you transform your look this year!
