Cynic Talk.//

It's so easy to be the cynic;

to let life come as it may.

It's much harder to see the good,

the endless possibilities; the hope proponent in life.

I find it has become even harder with the constant stream of bad news all around us--

the economy crashing,

innocent victims dying left and right

(simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time),

countries in constant dispute,

etc.

It's enough to create quite the case for the cynic,

to lay down and allow the selfishness of others to become the ideal for life.

So what--

even if the whole world was one big cynic,

would you really stop being the one who could bring a different story?

A hope story?

If you really want to go against the flow,

be the opposing force

(which, lets admit, the cynic totally thinks they are doing)

be the one who fights for purpose,

for compassion, and for hope. 

It's not easier,

but is sure as heck makes the journey more adventurous.
