The City My Heart Loves.//

Growing up outside of D.C., and having a father who constantly exposed us children to politics,
and the crazy world that goes with it has made me grow up with a deep love,
respect, and honor for our nation's capitol.
Anyone who knows me,
knows D.C. is my favorite city,
and always will be.

It's a city that can instantly calm my heart,
bring my life and dreams in to focus,
and causes every fiber of my being to come alive.
If ever I need to clear my head,
need a good dose of hope,
or just want to quiet my heart;
I know that taking a stroll through this city will do just that for me.

Here are some photos I took the other evening when taking the usual stroll past the monuments
(never gets old, no matter how many times I do it)
--
btw:
sitting at the World War II Memorial is the best place to think,
and going to see good 'ol Lincoln is the most iconic experience for me.
I have such deep honor and respect for that man.

peace. love. joy.
